Born in Taiwan, attorney David S. Lin came to the United States at the age of three and grew up in a rural Pennsylvania town. At a young age, he was exposed to an environment where he was the token minority, and saw prejudice and injustice in the social system at work. Yet, he also saw the potential virtues of that same system. Early on, he became determined to uphold and stand up for justice.
Mr. Lin attended and graduated from a highly regarded all-boys private school, the Hill School, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he attended and obtained his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, earning a B.A. in Government. He later attended and obtained his juris doctor (J.D.) law degree from Boston University School of Law located in Boston, Massachusetts.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Lin came to Southern California, where he worked at several prominent law firms in Santa Monica and downtown Los Angeles, including Haight Brown & Bonesteel; Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon, LLP; and Carroll Burdick & McDonough, LLP. These experiences gave him specialized exposure to a wide range of legal issues and cases where he was able to hone and sharpen his litigation and trial skills. In these positions, he successfully handled several multimillion dollar cases for Fortune 500-based corporate clients, and learned the inner workings of large and mid-size law firms.
In 2003, Mr. Lin established his own law firm. Founded on the unwavering and foundational principles of integrity, honesty and service to its clients, the Law Offices of David S.
